MedHaul is a Certified B Corporation. Read more about what that means here.
To close out this year’s global B Corp Month with the theme being Better Business, we have some exciting news to share! After several years of serving our community MedHaul is thrilled to announce that we’ve officially joined the ranks of Certified B Corporations. When MedHaul was founded in 2017, we knew that the first step to identifying the trajectory we wanted our corporation to run on was to consistently test our commitment to using our business as a force for good. We are overjoyed that our path led us to becoming a Certified B Corp. As a B Corp, MedHaul will continue to measure and manage the positive impact of our business on our employees and community alike.
MedHaul is a tech-enabled marketplace for healthcare providers to find and book skilled transportation for patients with special needs. We work to eliminate barriers for the millions of families in vulnerable communities who can’t access care. Our priorities lie in the development of innovative and accessible transportation solutions for these communities that are often overlooked, including the elderly and those with physical and mental disabilities. MedHaul is proud to be the first in the our space to become a Certified B Corp.
B Corp companies use the power of business to reconcile our most pressing global and societal hurdles: wealth inequality, climate change, and social unrest. These companies are dedicated to tirelessly working to reduce inequality, lower levels of poverty, make the environment healthier, strengthen communities, and create jobs with purpose. There are over 3,700 Certified B Corporations in 150 industries and 74 countries that we have joined, some of whom you may be familiar with like Ben & Jerry’s, Coursera, MagicLinks, and many others. In the state of Tennessee where MedHaul is based, we are 1 of only 7 total companies that are also Certified B Corporations.
As a Certified B Corporation, MedHaul has been verified for meeting the highest verified standards of our governance, social and environmental performance (including but not limited to expenditure in regards to local products), and transparency as it relates to employee healthcare and wellbeing; our overall accountability is formally reevaluated on these criteria and more every three years. By adhering to B Corp standards, our clients will be able to retain even more confidence in our ability to make a difference in the communities we serve. This certification not only records the excellence we’ve already strived to achieve, but also serves as an indicator of the kind of business we intend to become.
We are looking forward to our future as part of a community that is perpetuating cultural shifts to redefine the success of business as we do our part to build a more inclusive and sustainable environment.
Thank you for supporting our work of providing reliable transportation for all!
